Contemporary womenswear label Pleats By Aruni owned by company Amar Aruni Design is the creation of International
Founder and Creative Head Aruni Banditanukul. Having an established family denim business, Aruni’s passion for working with textile harbored from a very early age. Aruni’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to studying two degrees including Fashion Design at Academia Italiana and the University of Wales, plus a
BBA in Marketing from the Assumption University, Thailand graduating in 2013.
Aruni’s career in fashion began while working for Renowned Thai designer Kemissara, assisting her at Bangkok Elle Fashion week and Seoul Fashion week

Aruni’s career in fashion began while working for Renowned Thai designer Kemissara, assisting her at Bangkok Elle Fashion week and Seoul Fashion week
in 2014. Being the winner of Vogue India Honors 2012 landed her an internship at Vogue, shadowing stylists during fashion shoots. She also assisted Delhi based designer Shweta Kapur with the production of her Spring/Summer 2015 line.

Founded in 2020, Pleats by Aruni philosophy is simple the brand is created for the style conscious uptown girl who needs effortlessly versatile clothing that can be worn anytime from day to night.
